What does a day in the life look like?

It varies greatly from one day to the other, but certainly remains hectic throughout. I am often in court all day or half the day, and then have to rush to scheduled appointments with clients and prospective clients. At times, I have to attend a deposition that requires travel to courts in different parts of the state.

What do you love most about your profession?

The fact that I get the opportunity to help people during some of their worst times.

What sort of paperwork do you encounter as you go about your day?

I have a lot of letters, pleadings, discovery requests, and answers that my paralegal sends me on a daily basis. Given the volume of documents that come across my desk, there is a never-ending need for me to get things signed and out of the office before they pile up.

How did you discover Signeasy?

I was going on a vacation, and being a sole practitioner, I was hoping to find an app that would let me keep up with my workflow by helping me review and sign documents while away from office. I found several apps, but none seemed as easy to use and learn as Signeasy. I started using Signeasy and immediately moved to one of the paid plans once the free trial was over.

Where do you find Signeasy useful in your daily workflow?

I can sign the documents (I always use the color blue for signatures, which is also possible with the software) as soon as my paralegal sends them to me. As a standard practice, we scan everything to PDF and keep them in a case management system. With Signeasy, I can read the documents, sign them easily, and email them back in PDF format.

How has Signeasy impacted or improved things at work or outside work?

I use Signeasy when I am at the courthouse, home for lunch, and whenever my paralegal needs something signed. In fact, my paralegal even uses it when I am in the office: he says I send the documents back to him faster when I use Signeasy! In short, I use Signeasy all the time, whether I am in the office or away. Also, the fact that Signeasy sends me – as well as my paralegal – a copy of each document after signing is a very useful feature.

How do you think individuals and businesses are benefiting from Signeasy?

There is no doubt that Signeasy makes you more efficient and more responsive to the workflow that the staff is trying to uphold. Honestly, for me, it’s hard to take time off. But now I know that whether I am in the office or on vacation, I will be able to keep the documents moving through my office instead of watching them pile up, and be at ease.
