In order to comply with the eSignature criteria, the ERO must have the ability to electronically capture the taxpayer's name, social security number, address, and date of birth for identity verification purposes.

Yes, IRS temporarily accepts electronic signatures on Form 1040. As of now, it’s only allowed until October 31, 2025.
