Version 20.0.0 is live today with day-one support for iOS 27, Apple Intelligence, and the App Intents framework.

You’re on the way to a site visit. The client calls and wants to double-check one clause in the rental agreement before you arrive. You know the file is in Signeasy. You also know that getting to it means waking your phone, opening the app, scrolling past every other agreement from the past quarter, and hoping you named it something sensible.

The check itself takes a moment. Finding the document is the slow part. For anyone who works from their phone, that gap between “I need this” and “I have it” shows up again and again.

Here’s the thing: your contracts should meet you where you already are. With iOS 27, they do. Signeasy 20.0.0 is built on Apple Intelligence and the App Intents framework, which means Siri and Spotlight now understand your document library. You can reach a contract by voice or by search, and the app doesn’t need to be open first.

Ask Siri, and the document is already open

Say “Search for Rental Agreement on Signeasy,” and Siri returns the matching documents from your library. Choose one, and it opens directly inside the app. You skip the folders and the scrolling entirely.

Status works the same way. Say “Show my pending documents in Signeasy,” and Siri pulls up your recent documents by status, so you can see what’s waiting before you’ve tapped anything. It’s a quick way to take stock between meetings, or to confirm that the agreement you sent yesterday is still sitting with the other party.

Your documents show up in Spotlight, with context

Signeasy now donates document metadata and summaries to the system index. Swipe down on your home screen, type a few letters, and the right contract appears with a rich preview. The preview carries enough context to tell two similar agreements apart, so you can spot the one you want without opening anything.

Spotlight and Siri Suggestions also do some of the looking for you. Documents that need your attention surface proactively, and quick actions are available straight from a Spotlight result. The next thing on your plate tends to show up before you go searching for it.

Siri sees what’s on your screen

While you’re viewing your document library, Siri understands the list in front of you. Say “Open the first document,” and it does exactly that.

Sharing works by voice too. Ask Siri to share the document you’re viewing via Mail, and a new message is ready with the file attached. It’s handy when your hands are full, when you’re walking between meetings, or when you’d simply rather say it than tap it.

This is on-screen awareness in the App Intents framework, and it’s specific to the library list. Siri knows which documents are in front of you and acts on that list.

Contract summaries, made on your device

Long contracts and short windows of attention don’t mix well. Signeasy uses Apple Intelligence Foundation Models to summarize the key points of a contract, and the summary is generated on your device. Your contract stays on your iPhone or iPad while you read the highlights, which matters when the document in question is the kind you’d rather not send anywhere.

Think of the renewal that lands the morning of the call, or the vendor agreement someone forwards with “quick thoughts?” attached. You get the key points in the time it takes to walk to the meeting room, and nothing leaves your device to make that happen.

A new look, and a proper iPad window

Signeasy has adopted Apple’s Liquid Glass design language across navigation, toolbars, and key surfaces, so the app looks and feels at home on iOS 27 from the moment you open it.

On iPad, Signeasy now supports free-form window resizing. Drag it to the size you need and keep it beside Mail, Files, or Safari while you work through a stack of documents. Reference a message in one window while you review the contract in the other, or pull a file over from Files without leaving the page you’re on.

Signeasy behaves like a first-class multitasking window, because document-heavy work rarely happens in a single app.

What changes in practice

Fewer steps between you and the document. Fewer taps when you’re rushing. Hands-free when your hands are busy with something else. And the right document surfacing on its own, before you go digging for it.

None of this asks you to learn a new workflow. You already talk to Siri and search with Spotlight. Signeasy simply shows up in both, with the same library you use every day. For operations and product teams, that means less time spent helping colleagues track down the right version of an agreement. For anyone working from a phone, it means the contract keeps pace with you.

Featured by Apple at the iOS 27 launch

Apple included Signeasy in three places at the iOS 27 launch:

  • A “Works with Siri AI” App Store story titled “Easily Sign and Share Docs, Plus get AI summaries of PDFs.”
  • Apple’s “Great Apps Updated for iOS 27” list.
  • Apple’s Apple Intelligence write-up, which named Signeasy as an example of using Foundation Models to summarize the key points of a contract.

We’ve built for Apple platforms for a long time, and we’re glad to be part of this release.

Ready when you are

We built this update for the moments when you need a contract and you don’t have time to go looking for it. The document you need should be a question away, and now it is. Update to Signeasy 20.0.0 on your iPhone or iPad, ask Siri for a contract, and see what happens.
